Chief Moses Mural Project
The Chief Moses Mural Project is designed to
establish a place of Honor and Historic Celebration to Chief
Moses and his tribe’s people.
WHAT: A historical Mural depicting Native
American activities in the Columbia Basin.
WHERE: Mural to be on the west wall of the
GMAC building, facing Sinkiuse Square in downtown Moses Lake.
WHO: Patty Jensen is the featured artist.
Her work can be seen throughout our community and Promises to
continue to add historical enhancements for years to come.
WHY: This mural is a beautiful addition to
our community, creating a visually significant connection to
the name Sinkiuse Square. In addition to the project’s
historic value it will also be a tourism draw, inviting people
to the heart of Moses Lake.
WHEN: Weather permitting, we anticipate
completing the mural as funding is available.
HOW MUCH: Production cost for the Mural
Project is $15,000. The Mural Project invites Moses Lake area
businesses and individuals to participate financially in
establishing a place to celebrate and honor an important
component of our region’s history.

Clarence and Wanda
Johnson of Inchelium are happy to announce the engagement of
their son, Corey Dillon Johnson to Prairie Brooke Slaven of
Cimarron, Kansas.
The groom-to-be is currently
serving as a Specialist in the United States Army at Fort
Riley, Kansas. He returned September 2004 from a 13 month
deployment in Iraq. He is being restationed at Fort
Wainwright, Alaska in July.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Greg and Wrenn Slaven of
Cimarron, Kansas. She is currently a senior at Kansas State
University in psychology.
She plans to continue classes at the University of Alaska in
Fairbanks.
A June 12th wedding is being planned in Dodge City, Kansas.
